Traveling on Aug 25th cruise on the Dream. Need to know the dimensions of doorways to cabin and in the cabin hallway. Have motorized scooter that I need to charge and I need it in the cabin. Please help!!!! Thanks!!!!

    Hi, Cassandra!

If you have booked an accessible stateroom on the Disney Dream, the following features are standard in those rooms for guests with disabilities:

    • 32" (minimum) doorways
    • Ramped bathroom thresholds
    • Open bed frames
    • Additional phones in the bathroom and on the nightstand
    • Bathroom and shower handrails
    • Fold-down shower seats
    • Hand-held shower heads
    • Lowered towel and closet bars
    • Emergency call buttons
However, if your stateroom is a standard room, I'm not certain about the dimensions you request.  I can tell you that our next-door stateroom neighbor used a motorized scooter on board when we sailed on the Disney Dream, and he parked and charged his scooter in the elevator area in the evening. Then, he would walk to his stateroom.  That may or may not be an option for you.

In that case, I suggest you take a look at the Guests with Disabilities Page on DisneyCruise.com and perhaps call the special reservations line (407-566-3500) to inquire about your specific needs. I hope I've helped navigate you in the right direction, and please don't hesitate to write back if you need to ask me another question.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
