Welcome back to planDisney, Charlianne! I’m absolutely thrilled to hear that you’re just a few weeks away from your next magical trip to Disney World! Traveling with kids is somehow my specialty, as I also have two boys, so I’m excited to help you out today.
I took a moment to check the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules page for you, and I have some great news to share with you today! Children must be supervised at all times, and Guests under the age of 14 should be with someone 14 or older to enter a theme park or water park. But, kids who are 7 years old and older can board attractions on their own, provided they meet the specific height and safety requirements for those rides.
For younger ones under age 7, they need a companion who is 14 or older to board attractions.
So, as long as your 12-year-old meets height and safety requirements, he’s all set to enjoy the rides! If he enjoys thrill rides, I can’t recommend my new favorite rollercoaster,
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, highly enough—it’s an absolute blast! And while you’re at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, he simply can’t miss my beloved
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. It’s a classic full of details, a captivating story, and some fun surprises along the way.
I hope this helps with your planning, Charlianne! Remember, we’re always here, happy and ready to assist you, so
feel free to come back anytime with more questions. It’s always a delight to connect with amazing friends like you!
Cheers
Nilson
