Am traveling alone w/5 yo son in May. I noticed that Wishes is @ 10pm & Fantasmic is @ 9pm. Do most kids his age make it in the parks this late (he normally is in bed by 8:30pm)? Should we plan to stay up late, or go back to SSR's pool instead?

Hi Sara! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I know you're super excited about your first solo trip to Walt Disney World Resort with your son...it will be a vacation you'll cherish for many years to come.

The Wishes nighttime spectacular fireworks show above the Magic Kingdom Castle is absolute must see delight. I know your son normally goes to bed at 8:30pm but at Walt Disney World Resort I'm betting the Pixie Dust will give him some added energy to stay awake to see the wonder of the nighttime firework show at least for one night. Our little ones LOVE it, but every night is different and we play it by ear calling it quits at the first sign of yawns.

As a Mom with little ones, I know how important it is to take a break during the day to recharge and refresh. Plan for a long afternoon nap and your son will be ready to take in a little nighttime excitement. Be sure to stay cool and hydrated during the day.

Sending Pixie Dust your way for a magical and memorable Disney vacation!
