I am traveling alone and just want the cheapest room available on the fantasy .. or are they all the same price no matter what floor ..

Ahoy, Linda! Welcome to planDisney and aboard the most magical ship at sea. The line where the sky meets the sea calls me, too. I'm glad you sailed by as you are starting to plan your adventure beyond the reef.

I absolutely love sailing aboard the Disney Fantasy. This ship has Inside, Oceanview, Verandah, and Concierge staterooms. Within each of these types are additional categories, which could be determined by the size or location of the stateroom. For example, the most economical option is usually a Standard Inside Stateroom. These rooms are available on a few different decks:

    • Category 11A: Decks 8, 9 and 10
    • Category 11B: Decks 5, 6 and 7
    • Category 11C: Deck 2

Generally speaking, an 11A stateroom costs more than an 11C. However, this can vary depending on the availability of a particular stateroom category on a specific itinerary. As Captain Jack would ask, "Savvy?"

The Disney Cruise Line website makes shopping for a cruise as easy as an ocean breeze. You can enter the month, departure port and/or destination to find the perfect itinerary. When you go to “See Dates,” you can see the starting price by major stateroom category. With your sailing chosen, click “View Staterooms” and you will see the starting price for each of the four major stateroom types. When you follow the prompts to select your stateroom, you can see the starting price of the stateroom category by deck and by location on the ship (forward, midship or aft). This really helps navigate your planning around a price point that works for you.

Did you know you can also check out special offers available on Disney cruises? If you have your heart set on the Fantasy and plan to sail this summer, you may find a deal on one of its European itineraries.

And once onboard, you can also secure a discount on a future cruise with the onboard-only offer. I love this because it gives you a discount on a cruise within the following 24 months. The amount you pay for the offer is applied to the cruise you book. And if you don't use it, it's fully refundable. It's one of my favorite budget planning tips!

Linda, if we can help with any questions as you go from dreaming to planning, we are always happy to help at planDisney.
