We will be traveling to Alaska on the Disney Wonder this August (2024)! While this isn’t our first Disney Cruise, this is our first 7-Night sailing. How can I find out which nights are the formal/themed nights?

Ahoy there Kelani and welcome aboard planDisney. I love that you are taking another adventure on a ship captained by Mickey Mouse. The Disney Wonder 7-Night Alaskan cruise is awesome with a perfect combination of Disney magic, wildlife, and wild entertainment; my family had the best time.

Here is the anticipated itinerary for each day of your voyage. Please note that the schedule can change and you should check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for final details once aboard the Disney Wonder.

    7-Night Alaskan Cruise

    • Day 1 - Vancouver (British Columbia), Canada: Embarkation Day - Cruise Casual
    • Day 2 - Day at Sea - Formal Evening
    • Day 3 - Glacier Viewing (Stikine Icecap), Alaska - Cruise Casual
    • Day 4 - Skagway, Alaska - Cruise Casual
    • Day 5 -Juneau, Alaska - Frozen Theme Night
    • Day 6 - Ketchikan, Alaska - Semi-Formal Evening
    • Day 7 - Day at Sea - Cruise Casual
    • Day 8 - Vancouver (British Columbia), Canada: Debarkation Day - Cruise Casual

As you sail near ice fjords and near pods orca, you will see cotton balls in the trees, wait... those cotton balls are bald eagles in the conifer trees perched like sparrows. There are so many! This is why there are no fireworks and no Pirate Night). You are surrounded by wildlife on both sides of the ship and it is important to preserve Alaska - the Last Frontier State.

Some personal favorites on this Disney Wonder voyage:

    • Juneau Port Adventure: Helicopter Glacier Trek to Mendenhall Glacier
    • Palo Brunch
    • Whale Watching - seasonal
    • Dog Sledding - seasonal
    • Disney Trivia

Kelani, get ready to relax and sit on the deck or your verandah with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee absorbing the beauty and wonder of our 49th state. Oh, make sure you stay up till midnight or later one night to see that the sun does not set in this magical frozen wonderland. Please feel free to write me back directly with any follow-up questions or for other Disney vacation planning tips.

Enjoy making many Magical Memories on the High Seas.
