Hi, Angelica!
I love kicking off a new month on board Disney Cruise Line, so I'm thrilled to hear you'll be sailing to
Alaska this June! This
itinerary is one of my most memorable because there's nothing like seeing this part of the country in person. The wildlife, landscape, and architecture of these ports of call will leave you with the best souvenirs-gorgeous pictures that you'll cherish for years to come. It will be a unique week in The Last Frontier.
Angelica, I am also a planner and love to know
what to expect each night of my cruise vacation. I also tend to
overpack and had to be a bit more strategic for Alaska, so I suggest vacuum-sealing or using compression packing cubes to get it all in. Layers are the key to comfort, with the outer layer being waterproof because the weather in Alaska is unpredictable during the summer months. We had a few days of low 70s and a few rainy days in the 50s. On your cruise, you can expect five cruise casual nights, one formal night (Day 2), and one semi-formal night (Day 5). There is no Pirate Night planned due to environmental restrictions, but you can expect the
Frozen Deck Party and some Frozen-themed events and dinner (programming always subject to change and weather permitting) on one of the cruise casual nights. No specific day has been given yet, so please check back closer to the start of the Alaskan season for any updates.
I hope you are planning to venture ashore, Angelica. There will be so much beauty to see from the open decks of the
Disney Wonder, but you'll also love experiencing these amazing ports of call. I love planning
Port Adventures that take you on different modes of transportation to see the spectacular scenery and wildlife. I know whatever you have planned will be memorable.
Thank you for visiting planDisney, Angelica. Let us know if we can help you again in the future.
Nancy
