Traveling with 6 adults,2- 7 year olds, 2 -5 year olds, 1 -2 1/2 and a 9 month old. Wanting to get transportation for whole group to return to Orlando Airport for flights home. What is best option. will need car seats for 2 youngest.

    Hello Donna!

Welcome to planDisney! Oh boy, you are traveling to Walt Disney World Resort with a very large and exciting group of people. That's a lot of people and little ones to wrangle and I wish you all the pixie dust in Tink's bag to help you on this trip!

Transportation between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Walt Disney World Resort is limited to a few options when car seats are needed. The best option I can suggest is to contact MEARS Connect which has been around a very long time. They can provide shuttle buses that do not require children to use car seats. These buses are large motorcoaches that can pick you up at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel and transfer you to your terminal at MCO. You can book right online and let them handle the details. I also recently learned that Uber can provide car seat options during their booking process for riders in Orlando. When hailing a rideshare from Uber through their app, look for one with a car seat. There is an additional cost and each car can only provide one car seat. You probably would have to book more than one vehicle for your party size anyway so get at least two with that car seat option. Uber states on their seat that the car seat is supposed to be a Nuna RAVA which can be rear or forward-facing and great for children weighing between 5 and 65 pounds.

If you are staying at a Club Level Room at any Walt Disney World Resort then you can book a ride on the Minnie Van to the airport. This starts booking 60 days before and does get booked up quickly. It is driven by Cast Members, and each vehicle offers two car seats. I still suggest a ride on the Minnie Van if you are not at Club Level and want to travel within Walt Disney World Property. There is a variable cost which you can see on the Lyft app so it is not complimentary but it is convenient and great for families who need car seats.

I hope this helps and you find your way back again!

    Happy Planning!

We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
