Well hello there, Miwako. It's so nice to virtually meet you!
I see that you're from Tokyo and I have to say, I hope you're going to be paying a visit to
Tokyo DisneySea for the grand opening of
Fantasy Springs! What better way to start your summer than with a visit to this brand new port at a bucket list theme park and then end it at the
Walt Disney World Resort? Even better, can I tag along? After all, these things are better with new friends. Am I right? Seriously, the entirety of
Tokyo DisneySea looks phenomenal and
this brand-new expansion seems to just kick it up a notch!
If you are using the
Disney Dining Plan on your next visit, each Guest dining at a table-service restaurant must redeem the required amount of table-service meals while dining. So if 4 adults are dining at a table-service restaurant that requires you to redeem 1 table-service meal to dine there, 4 table-service meals will be redeemed when you dine there. If you are looking for less food, most meals redeemed at breakfast include an entrée and a beverage. A dessert is not usually included unless it's a buffet meal that includes dessert options.
While in general the portions at some of the
table-service restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort are on the larger side, there
are some that I have found to be a bit lighter. For example, some of the options at
Jiko - The Cooking Place at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and
Cítricos at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, didn't have as large of portions. And sometimes, it's not the portion size but the actual food items themselves. For example, while I love a good pasta dish, they tend to be a bit heavier and get you full quicker. As such, you may want to avoid options like pasta to be more likely to finish your plate.
Miwako, I wish you many delicious meals on your August vacation. Be sure to
reach out again if you have any other questions.
We are all stories in the end so make it a good one,
Matt
