We are traveling with 6 adults and 6 kids (15,12, 10,9, 4,2). We are just starting our planning. We need ideas for lodging. We want to have the best value for our money. What are the "must do" things for teenagers, preteens, and toddlers?

    Hi, Shannon!

    Great plan!

Consider a Family Suite at one of two Walt Disney World Value Resort hotels that offer them. The newest, Disney's Art of Animation Resort features The Lion King, Cars and Finding Nemo-themed Family Suites,  and Disney's All-Star Music Resort has Family Suites, too.

Disney's Hollywood Studios features Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, Star Tours and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror for the older kids, and everyone will enjoy Muppet*Vision 3D, Toy Story Midway Mania!, Beauty and the Beast-Live on Stage, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! and Fantasmic! Make sure the toddlers get to see Disney Junior-Live on Stage!

At Epcot, the older ones should try Soarin', Test Track and Mission: SPACE, then join the younger two for The Seas with Nemo & Friends and Turtle Talk With Crush. Visit Kidcot Fun Stops and try Disney Phineas and Ferb: Agent P's World Showcase Adventure while the whole family tours World Showcase. IllumiNations is a great way to end your day.

Disney's Animal Kingdom offers the more adventurous Expedition Everest and DINOSAUR, but everyone will love Kilimanjaro Safaris, Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo-the Musical.

    Magic Kingdom
's thrill rides include Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain and Space Mountain. Other family-friendly must-dos include Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Haunted Mansion, "it's a small world", The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Mickey's PhilharMagic, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, Peter Pan's Flight, Pirates of the Caribbean, Under the Sea-Journey of The Little Mermaid and Wishes nighttime spectacular.
