Hi Candace!
I'm so happy to hear you have a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation in just a few weeks!
Staying at
Disney's Pop Century Resort is like stepping into a time capsule filled with nostalgic nods to fads from the 1950s to the 1990s! What a fantastic choice for your stay with your son. While I enjoyed many a Disney vacation with my daughters when they were little, I love traveling to The Most Magical Place on Earth with them as adults! What fun memories you're going to make with your adult son.
To ensure you have two beds in your room, here's a few ways to make that happen:
When you're booking your room, be specific about your need for two beds. Pop Century rooms typically have either two double beds or one king bed. Specify your preference for two double beds at the time of booking, and make sure the request is noted on your reservation. You can do this online if you're booking through the
Walt Disney World website, or mention it to the Cast Member if you're booking over the phone.
It's always a good idea to make a
follow-up call to Disney Reservations closer to your arrival date, just to give a little reminder about your request for two beds. This way, they can reconfirm your needs are noted.
When you arrive and check in at Pop Century, gently remind the Cast Member at the
Front Desk about your preference for two beds. They're there to make your stay magical and will do their best to accommodate your request based on availability. On one of my recent visits, I was traveling with an adult friend. Upon our arrival, we realized we'd been assigned a room with one bed. The Cast Members at the Front Desk were happy to make things right, and found us a room where we each had our own space to sleep and relax - so important when on vacation!
While room requests like these are always subject to availability and can't be guaranteed 100%, Disney Cast Members are known for their efforts to make your stay as comfortable and magical as possible. Enjoy your trip down memory lane at Pop Century with your son!
