Hi Patty, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Along with a hat, sunscreen, bottle of water, and a Minnie Mouse ear headband, a stroller is a theme park essential! I'm so glad you're planning to bring one for your 4-year-old Mouseketeer, as the days can be warm and tiring with all the excitement and walking. Rested families are happy families.
My kiddos are both tall, and I understand the stroller struggle all too well. If your granddaughter's current stroller is a bit small, recommend taking a long walk with her in it and seeing two things: how comfortable she is and how easy the stroller is to maneuver. I find the Walt Disney World rental strollers to be a little hard to push with heavier and taller kiddos in them – I've done it, but it's not something I would want to do for multiple days.
We usually
rent a stroller from one of Disney's featured stroller providers. Kingdom Strollers is our go-to company; they drop off and pick up at the on-property resort hotels, and we like the brands they offer. My son just aged out of stroller riding, and on our last visit we rented a Bob Revolution, which is a little bigger and was really comfortable for all of us, while also folding easily when getting on transportation. You can see the brands they offer on their website, including measurements and weight limits. When choosing a stroller, be sure to take a look at Disney's
Park Rules so you can ensure you choose one that fits their acceptable dimensions.
I hope you and your family have the best time together on your
grand adventure, Patty! Please come back and see us if you have any questions as you count down the DAYS to your visit.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
