Hello, I am a traveler planning to visit on October 30, 2025. I would like to reserve the nighttime show and watch it from the designated seat. Could you please let me know if reservations are not yet open or if they are already fully booked?

Hi there, Kim! Welcome to planDisney!

Oh my goodness—what a spooktacular time you’ve chosen to visit! October 30th is one of the most spirited nights of the year at the Disneyland Resort, and it sounds like you’re hoping to add a little extra pixie dust by reserving a nighttime spectacular with designated viewing. I’d be happy to help sort through the options with you.

Reserved viewing for nighttime shows is usually offered through dining packages or guided tours. Since your visit is right before Halloween, the highlight is Halloween Screams, which lights up the skies over Disneyland Park. If you’d like reserved viewing for this, Disney’s Happiest Haunts: The Villains’ Trail Guided Tour includes access to a reserved viewing area. Just note that while you’ll have a great spot to see the show, seating isn’t guaranteed—it’s mostly standing, and any seats are usually along the curb rather than in chairs. As of the time I’m writing this, I’m still seeing availability for this experience, which is great news!

There are also other dining and dessert packages offered at different times of the year. For example, the Paint the Night Dining Package at Plaza Inn is an awesome option, but it looks like it wraps up right before your visit. Over at Disney California Adventure Park, the World of Color Dessert Party is another Guest favorite since it includes actual reserved seating at tables. However, the calendar is currently showing no availability for October 30th.

I know this might not be the exact news you were hoping for with your trip coming up so quickly, but take heart—Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is bursting with seasonal magic beyond the shows! From the eerily enchanting Haunted Mansion Holiday, which blends Halloween chills with Christmas cheer, to the pumpkin displays on Main Street, U.S.A., and the ghoulish delights of Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark, there’s no shortage of spooky fun to fill your visit.

No matter what, Kim, your Halloween visit is sure to be filled with thrills, chills, and plenty of Disney magic. The Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration will also be happening during your trip! Be on the lookout for festive touches throughout the resort, special snacks and treats, and limited-edition merchandise to help you take home a piece of the magic.

    Have a boo-tifully magical trip!
