Hello Lourainia!
It is a pleasure to welcome you back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are thrilled to receive another question, and really appreciate your loyalty.
Many different types of payment are accepted at the Walt Disney World Resort, including traveler’s checks. You can cash them at your Disney Resort hotel
Lobby Concierge or at
Front Desk when the Lobby Concierge is closed. Traveler’s checks must be issued in U.S. dollars, and you must present a valid photo ID.
While traveler’s checks were very popular and highly used years ago, I believe that you will find other forms of payment more convenient to use during your visit. Besides credit and debits cards, I highly recommend using a
Disney Gift Card as it will work just as traveler’s checks, have no fees and do not expire! They are available in set amounts from $25 to $500, and can be reloaded at many locations across the Walt Disney World Resort.
Disney Gift Cards are really easy to use and are accepted at Disney owned and operated locations that accepted credit cards so you can pay for dining experiences, recreation, merchandise, spa experiences, and even admission tickets.
I hope this helps you while planning, Lourainia. Thanks for stopping by once again!
See ya real soon!
