I would like to travel with my twins when they turn two. Is two a good age for them to travel? What activities we can arrange for them?

    Hi, Roxanna!

I had my kids to Walt Disney World when they were babies, so I am all about traveling with little ones.  But, you must be willing to keep on their schedule and do whatever it takes to keep little Mouseketeers happy!

A few things about traveling with toddlers:
-They need a lot of stuff!  Make sure to pack a double stroller, and plan to bring your magic backpack of goodies with you to the parks including diapers, sippy cups, extra clothes, hats, sunscreen, snacks, and small toys to keep them busy.
-Little ones get tired! You  will need to keep on their schedule as much as possible with nap times, bed times, and eating. It is really hard some nights when you want to stay out for fun and fireworks, but your little ones need to be tucked in and cozy so they get plenty of sleep. The more you do this, the more you will avoid the meltdown stage!

OK, now for the good stuff about traveling with small kids. They are so much fun! It is so great to see what they will enjoy, watching them interact with the characters, and hearing them say "Again!" for the 5th time on "it's a small world!" Follow their lead and enjoy seeing the magic through their eyes.  There is such a short window of time to enjoy them like this, so have fun and take lots of pictures! And a very good reason to travel while they are still age 2: They get into the parks for free!  No park tickets are needed until our kids are age 3.

The only thing, besides dining, to arrange would be is if you wanted a night out without the twins, you could reserve an in-room babysitter through Kids Nite Out, Inc.  They will come to your room so and take care of your precious twins so you can head out for some nightlife!

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need help once you start getting into booking your vacation. Good luck!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
