Hiya, Becky. Welcome to
planDisney. Thanks for stopping by with your question.
Becky,
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is such a fun place. My family and I stay there several times a year and we absolutely love it.
I think you'll be happy to know that since Disney's Fort Wilderness is a campground, travel trailers are in fact allowed. The Fort, as it is so lovingly nicknamed, has four different types of campsites to accommodate all of the different ways people like to camp.
- Tent or pop-up campsite - These sites have room for a pop-up camper or a camper van-type vehicle and up to 2 tents. This will accommodate equipment on a concrete pad up to 10 feet by 25 feet.
- Full hook-up campsite - These sites offer space for an RV plus a tent. This will accommodate equipment on a concrete pad up to 10 feet by 50 feet. You will also have sewage hook-up.
- Premium campsite - These sites are better for larger-style RVs. This will accommodate equipment on a concrete pad up to 18 feet by 60 feet with sewage hook-up.
- Preferred campsite - This area is more about location. These sites are close to the marina which is going to be where you take the boat over to Magic Kingdom Park. These sites can accommodate an RV plus a small tent and have sewage hook-up.
There are also 15 comfort stations located around Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground for your convenience. These areas are all air condited and have private showers, restrooms, laundry facilities and ice machines. These are open 24 hours but in the evening, you will need to use your key card to access them.
Camping at The Fort is so much fun! In fact, my family and I are getting ready to pull our 5th wheel down in a few weeks to enjoy!
I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me.
Happy camping!
Jackie H.
