Hi Gail,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question about moving between magical locations at Walt Disney World.
At
Disney's Contemporary Resort, you are in the hub of
Disney transportation options. You can easily access monorail, boat and bus transportation to any part of the Walt Disney World Resort. And you can even walk to Magic Kingdom in just a few minutes!
To take the bus to
Disney Springs, you will go to the bus station on the lower level. Buses run about every 20 minutes. You will find monitors at the station that will keep you posted on bus arrival times. Once you board the bus, the ride should take about 20 minutes. You will disembark right at the entrance to the Town Center area of Disney Springs.
If you are going to Disney Springs for a dining reservation, I would recommend allowing about an hour for transportation, just so you don't feel rushed.
Speaking of dining, I'd love to share some of my family's favorite
Disney Springs dining spots. We love Jaleo for special occasions; Wine Bar George for small bites and libations; Morimoto Asia for sushi and other Asian delights; The Boathouse for seafood and a great view; and eet by Maneet Chauhan for casual Indian fusion fare. Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar is our go-to spot for a drink or a casual lunch.
Happy planning, Gail, and please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you before your arrival.
Enjoy every magical moment,
Wilma
