How much travel time should we plan for the Magical Expeess to Wilderness Lodge). And will ME drop off at a different hotel for dinner reservations and take our luggage to our hotel? Thanks!

    Hey Carol-

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I did some deep digging to find out this information. You may take Disney’s Magical Express from the airport to the resort with your dining reservation. When you arrive at Disney’s Magical Express bus terminal (B Side Level 1) at the airport please explain your situation and that you would like to ride the complimentary bus to your dining reservation resort. They may confirm that your luggage is going to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Speaking with the Cast Member representative will help them place you on the correct bus. When you board, explain to the driver that you have dining reservations and you would like to be dropped off at the dining resort and not your reserved resort. Many times Guests from different resorts, on the same circuit, will travel together so there could be a few stops.

The actual drive including stops takes about 45 minutes from the airport to your resort. The bus may make up to four resort stops on the trip. A good rule of thumb is to budget 60-90 minutes when using Walt Disney World Resort Transportation when traveling around. In February we arrived at the airport at 8:15 a.m. and were off Disney’s Magical Express by 9:25 a.m.

Disney Dad Tip: Alway build in extra travel time on your arrival date. Airlines and buses get delayed and you don’t want to miss out any of the magic.

Carol, I hope this helps you make many Magical Memories!
