What is the travel time between the Magic Kingdom and Grand Floridian? Was thinking of going to 1900 Park Fare for dinner, leaving from Magic Kingdom and hoping to get back in time to Magic Kingdom for electric parade. Is it too much traveling?

    Hi Kellyann,

That is a perfect plan! The Grand Floridian resort is adjacent to Magic Kingdom, one of the three resorts served by the Magic Kingdom resort monorail.

When you exit the front gate of Magic Kingdom, veer to your right and up the ramp to the platform for the Resort Monorail. (Don't take the Express. That won't stop at the Grand Floridian). A monorail arrives every few minutes. You will make three brief stops on the way to the Grand Floridian -- at the Contemporary, the Transportation and Ticket Center and the Polynesian. Still, the trip shouldn't take more than about 15 minutes.

I would plan to make my way to the front gate of Magic Kingdom 30 to 45 minutes before your reservation. That should give you plenty of time to make the trip, find the restaurant and freshen up before your dinner.

After you've eaten, just hop back on the monorail. Magic Kingdom will be the first stop, just a couple of minutes away.

I hope that helps. Please let us know if we can answer any other planning or logistics questions for you. Enjoy your visit to the Walt Disney World resort!
