What is the travel time between AK and MK if driving then hopping onto the monorail? Visiting both parks on October 10 2013. AK in the day and MK - MNSSHP in the evening.

    Hi Alison!

Sounds like you have an exciting day planned! I like it!  Once you are in your car at Animal Kingdom (remember to allow yourself time to get to your car via tram or walking), I would allow at least an hour to get from Animal Kingdom to the Magic Kingdom. Depending on traffic, you're looking at an approximate 25 minute drive. Then you'll need to go through the parking plaza, park, take the tram to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) and board a Monorail or Ferry to the Magic Kingdom.  You may want to give yourself an hour and 15 minutes or so if you want a bit of a cushion.

A lot of Guests may head towards the Magic Kingdom around 4:00 p.m. to try to gain early entry into the park. It may be a little backed up around that time so keep that in mind and allow for additional time if you plan to arrive around that time.

Once you arrive at the Magic Kingdom, you'll still need to go through security and the front gate.  Don't forget to stop and pick up your Mickey's Not-So-Scary wrist band, Trick-or-Treat bag and special event Guide Map.  Just keep all that in mind in case you're trying to make reservations for something.

Please feel free to keep the questions coming.  We're thrilled to assist you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
