    Hi!! I have a travel party of 4 adults & 2 kids going Dec 2015. I am a DVC member and we were planning on staying in a 2 bed villa at Wilderness Loge. My ? is, is that the best resort for Christmas time or is another DVC resort a better option. Thanks!

    Hi D'Anya! Christmas is perhaps the most magical time of year at Walt Disney World Resort - it's certainly the most festive! And you've chosen one of my favorite holiday vacation spots...Disney's Wilderness Lodge is decorated most spectacularly for Christmas.

    We spent a few days at the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge last November and it was AMAZING! The decorations were breathtaking and our family photo in front of the magnificent adorned Christmas tree was our holiday card for family and friends.

    When it was time to for rides and attractions we enjoyed the short water-taxi ride to Magic Kingdom Park. More than anything you'll love the serenity at Disney's Wilderness Lodge...it's MAGICAL!

    You absolutely won't be disappointed by the picturesque and rustic log cabin Disney theme of this resort it's ranked as one of the most popular Walt Disney World Resorts during the holidays. 

    If you’re visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the Christmas rush, Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is another great option. It's beautifully decorated with Disney holiday magic, but being within walking distance of the Magic Kingdom is an absolute advantage to seriously consider, as you’ll avoid the inevitable transportation congestion of the busy holiday season.

    Being able to walk to the Magic Kingdom in less than 10 minutes means you can plan early morning and late night park visits and hit your favorite attractions with minimal waits and much fewer crowds. Plus, you’ll have a great view of the fireworks from the exclusive Top of the World Lounge.

    Either choice promises a magical experience! I hope you have a magical and memorable Disney vacation!
