We travel next year, but while I was looking at dining options in the parks there was a statement that I need to have a park reservation for that park to book. How do I book a dinner reservation if we are park hopping? We wouldn’t have a park reservation.

Hello Jennifer!

I bet you are excited about your Walt Disney World vacation next year! I love planning for my future Walt Disney World vacations because it gives me something to look forward to!

You will need to make a Theme Park Reservation for the first theme park you plan to enter each day, and you will have to enter that theme park before you are eligible to park hop on that day. You do not need to make a theme park reservation for the theme park that you are park hopping to as long as it is after 2:00 pm and there is availability at that park for more Guests to enter. So if you make an Advanced Dining Reservation after 2:00 pm in the theme park that you are hoping to, then you would not need a Theme Park Reservation for that park (as long as you had entered the first theme park that you have Theme Park Reservations for on that day). If you are only planning on visiting one park on that particular day and have an Advanced Dining Reservation in that theme park, then you will need a Theme Park Reservation for that theme park.
