I travel with a mobility scooter and would need transportation to and from the Amtrak station in Orlando FL. Any help dor me

    Hello, Patricia!

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your question for us. I am so happy that you found us to help with your planning. I am so excited to hear that you are making plans to visit the Walt Disney World Resort soon.

How exciting to ride the rails on your journey to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Walt Disney was a huge fan of locomotives and had a scale model built on his property. I usually travel by air, but using the AutoTrain is on my list for a future trip.

I am pleased to tell you, after speaking with a staff member at the Orlando Amtrak station, that you can arrange to book your transportation to the Walt Disney World Resort, with a 3rd party carrier. There are several wheelchair transport services in the Orlando area, but the agent I spoke to recommended that you contact Mears Connect at (407) 422-2222 to make your arrangements. Let them know at the time of booking that you will be traveling with a mobility scooter so they can send the appropriate vehicle to pick you up.

Once you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort, you will be happy to know that all forms of transportation can accommodate your scooter. You can travel by bus, boat, monorail, and even Skyliner with your scooter. For more information regarding Guests with mobility issues, you can reach out to the Disability Services Team at (407) 560-2547 or by email at disability.services@disneyparks.com

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
