We travel to Disney World a lot so I am very familiar with MagicBands! However, we always stay on property and get our tickets in a Disney package. Can I purchase tickets through an outside source and still link them to my existing MagicBands?

Hi, Aimee! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

To link a Theme Park ticket to your family's MagicBands, all you need to do is link them to the appropriate family members on your My Disney Experience account. If you are using the smartphone app, you simply need to click "my profile', 'Tickets & Passes', 'Link Tickets & Passes', and select 'Ticket or Pass'. You may scan the ticket if you received a card with a bar code or you may enter the ticket number manually. Select the appropriate Friend & Family member that will be using the ticket. If you are using a personal computer, log into your My Disney Experience account. Select 'My Reservations and Tickets' and 'Link Tickets'. Enter the ticket number, and select which Friend & Family member it should be assigned to. Once your Theme Park tickets are linked to each individual, they are automatically connected to any active magic bands linked to that individual.

    Have a magical day, Aimee!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
