Hi, I am about to travel on a Disney cruise from Australia, I need access to a power supply, that is not a usb. Do the room come with a power outlet and do I need an American adapter?

Hiya, Pal, and welcome to planDisney! I’d be happy to help you get powered up for your upcoming adventure at sea.

You’ll be glad to know that every Disney Cruise Line stateroom includes both 110V (North American) and 220V (European) style outlets. So you’ll be able to plug in your standard Australian devices using an appropriate adapter, but you won’t need to bring any special converter for standard electronics like chargers or hair straighteners.

While it might be tempting to pack an extension cord or surge protector to keep everything connected, these items are not permitted onboard for safety reasons. I know you mentioned avoiding a USB port, but I do like to bring a small USB charging hub for each member of my crew. It keeps everyone’s devices charged and avoids any “who took my cord?” moments. If you want to be extra organized, toss in a few magnetic hooks or clips for your stateroom doors (they’re metal!) to keep cords, hats, and even pin lanyards tidy.

Before you know it, you’ll be sailing off into the sunset with everything fully charged and ready to capture every magical moment! If you think of any other ways we can help before your departure date, don’t hesitate to head back to us here at planDisney!

    SEA ya real soon,
    Sami
