Does a travel agent need access to my personal my Disney experience app to make my reservations for dining? I have already made reservations for hotel and tickets. I was told they needed access to my Disney experience app and didn’t know if that was a scam

    Hiya, Stacy!

Welcome to planDisney, friend! I am so excited to see that you are planning an adventure to The Most Magical Place on Earth this year. It's an incredible time to visit. The World's Most Magical Celebration is still going strong across all four theme parks. You will find beautiful Beacons of Magic, new attractions, and dazzling nighttime spectaculars. I hope you are ready for the best trip ever!

This is such a great question! Stacy, I use a fabulous travel agent from time to time when planning my visits to Walt Disney World Resort. And I can report that, yes, they will need to access your My Disney Experience account in order to secure dining reservations on your behalf. I know that this may initially seem odd, but the only way a reservation can be made in your name is through your My Disney Experience account. Now, if this is not an option that you feel comfortable proceeding with, that's okay. Making dining reservations for your upcoming stay is something you can easily do yourself, should you prefer! You can make dining reservations online or through the My Disney Experience app 60 days before you arrive. The reservation window opens around 5:45 AM ET, so be sure to set your alarm. Some locations are incredibly popular and tend to fully book in minutes. Pro tip: Make a list of your top choices for each day, in order of priority. Start with making a reservation for your top choice, and make your way down the list. If you are a Guest of a Walt Disney World Resort Collection hotel, you can book up to ten days of dining reservations. Putting a hard-to-reserve option like Chef Mickey's or Cinderella's Royal Table towards the end of your trip gives you a better chance of securing this high-demand spot!

I hope that your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
    We'll see ya real soon!
