My travel agent booked my party in 2 priority rooms at Caribbean Beach. We would rather be in rooms closer to the Skyliner and bus. My agent put in a request for this abd told me to NOT precheck in, but I thought pre-check would let me put my preferences?

Hi Jaynee, welcome back to planDisney. I saw that my Sweet 16 classmate, Jana, recently had the chance to help you with another vacation planning question, and I hope I can be just as helpful as I know she was.

When it comes to your stay at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, I completely understand your thoughts about wanting to be closer to the Disney Skyliner and bus transportation. The Direct-to-Room check-in option in the My Disney Experience app is a great convenience, and Cast Members will work as quickly as possible to get your room ready. While some requests can be made in the app, not every preference is available there, and no request is ever guaranteed. Personally, when I’m checking into a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, I like to stop by the front desk and talk with the Cast Members about which buildings or floors might be available in my room category. It gives me the chance to make a specific request in the moment. So if being near the Skyliner is high on your priority list, I agree with your agent that it’s probably best to hold off on pre-check-in and make that request in person. Cast Members will always do their best to accommodate, but room assignments have a lot of moving parts, so flexibility is key. Regardless, I can assure you that you’ll have a great resort experience no matter which building you end up in.

Since you’ll be staying at my favorite Moderate Resort, let me pass along a couple of recommendations. At Banana Cabana, the Piña Colada and Mango Barbecue wings are non-negotiables on my list—they’re that good. I’d also suggest setting aside some time for Skyliner resort hopping. Take a ride over to Disney’s BoardWalk and explore the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts along with the BoardWalk Inn. Crescent Lake has an incredible atmosphere, especially after sunset, and you’ll find some terrific dining and lounge options. Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is a must for something sweet, and Crew’s Cup Lounge is a great stop for a nightcap.

If you have any other questions as your trip gets closer, swing back by and let us know. We’d be happy to help you plan out the rest of your adventure.
