Transportation within Fort Wilderness Cabins. If I bring my car and want to drive from my cabin to the boat launch, is there a place to park and leave my car until I return from the Magic Kingdon?

Howdy Karen! Thanks for moseying on by with another great planning question.

Yee-haw! It sounds like you have an upcoming stay in pioneer paradise at The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Down on the frontier, cowpokes are encouraged to use local transportation to explore everything from eateries to swimmin' holes. While you aren't permitted to park an automobile at the boat launch to the Magic Kingdom Park, there is ample space for golf carts should you choose to rent one during your stay. If you're like my family and prefer to sit back and let Disney Cast Members do the steering, you can also catch an internal bus bound for the Settlement Depot. The marina is just a few steps away from where the bus lets you off.

My family and I love everything about the Walt Disney World transportation system. Did you know that the background music on the buses changes to fit your destination? Give a listen next time you are en route to a theme park. Our favorite track includes the dynamic tunes of EPCOT. You're sure to hear some down home, frontier favorites as you travel through your resort.

I hope this is helpful as you prepare to rough it with some Disney-style "glamping!" The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are a hidden gem, and I know you will enjoy the resort's rustic beauty on your upcoming vacation. If there is anything else we can do before your stay, please stop by again.

    See ya real soon!
