Is there transportation from WDW to Ft Lauderdale for a Disney Cruise

    Hi Kimberly,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question!

I’m pretty pumped that the Disney Magic and the Disney Dream will soon be sailing out of Fort Lauderdale. It’s a totally new home port for Disney Cruise Line and I think it’s going to be a fabulous place to start and end a cruise voyage!

From what I understand, as of right now, Disney Cruise Line doesn’t offer any ground transportation from any of the Disney Resorts Collections hotels to the port of Fort Lauderdale. That said, I would highly recommend that you contact Disney Cruise Line either by email or by phone to see what they would recommend for travelling from Walt Disney World Resort to your port. Based on my experience, Fort Lauderdale is about a 3 to 3 ½ hour drive from Orlando, so you might also want to see whether renting a car one-way and dropping it off at the port would be a good option for you and your family.

I hope my answer helps you enjoy smooth sailing throughout your vacation! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
