Hey there, hi there, ho there, Dianne! You're as welcome as can be here at
planDisney. Thanks a bunch for stopping by with your question!
I'm very, very happy to report that the
Walt Disney World Resort does an amazing job at accommodating every single Guest, regardless of their individual mobility needs. If you're planning on exploring the Theme Parks while riding a scooter or an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV), you'll be pleased to know that you will be able to use most of the transportation options offered throughout the Resort, including the
Walt Disney World buses, the
Monorail, the
Disney Skyliner, the Friendship Boats, and many more!
In fact, you can rent a scooter or ECV at the entrance of all four Theme Parks if you need to! If this is your plan, I do suggest arriving early in order to avoid missing out. These are much scarcer than plain old wheelchairs, so they do tend to fly off pretty quickly. If you don't plan on renting one at the parks, you are more than welcome to bring your own.
Dianne, I recommend that you take a quick glance at the
Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities webpage before embarking on your magical trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. Here, you will find a comprehensive list of every single attraction and its access category, all your transportation options, and much more. If you have a specific question about any of this, I also suggest emailing the Disability Services team at
disability.services@disneyparks.com.
I hope this helps, Dianne! If you have any other questions for us, you know just where to find us. I would love to see you back here again sometime! Have a magical day!
Warm hugs,
Ana Paula
