Is there transportation between resorts? We are staying at Animal Kingdom but have reservations at Fort Wilderness

    Hi Misty,

I am so excited to hEAR that you will be staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge on your next Walt Disney World vacation. This exotic and beautiful Resort will leave you feeling like you a visiting a luxurious African savanna lodge...you are sure to have a WILD time!

Misty, unfortunately there is no direct complimentary Disney Resort Transportation between Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. However, you do have the option of taking a bus to a Theme Park or Disney Springs, and then transferring from there to another bus to Disney's Fort Wilderness, followed by an internal shuttle bus which will take you to your dining reservation at either Trail's End Restaurant, Mickey's Backyard BBQ, or Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. Subject to weather, my own personal preference would be to take a bus from Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to Magic Kingdom, and from there taking water transportation to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. This would avoid the need to take the internal bus shuttle upon arrival at Fort Wilderness.

Another option would be the fee-for-service Minnie Van transportation option which could take you directly to Fort Wilderness.

I hope this is helpful to you Misty. Wishing you a wonderful upcoming Disney vacation!
