Hey there, Denise. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I can see that your vacation is quickly approaching, I bet you are getting so excited.
I think you'll be happy to know that
complimentary Theme Park transportation begins running about 45 minutes prior to that specific park opening each morning. If one of the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks has
Extra Magic Hours starting at 6:00 a.m. the first bus, monorail or boat will leave your resort around 5:15 that morning.
Something fun and exciting is coming while you are at Walt Disney World. The all new
Disney Skyliner is set to debut on September 29, 2019. This is a new form of transportation using a gondola style system. The Disney Skyliner services Disney's Pop Century Resort, Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Riviera Resort. It will also service both Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot. I'm really excited to check these out for a bird's eye view of the Walt Disney World Resort. Getting to each destination will take between 15 and 20 minutes and the gondolas will hold about 10 people in each. If you get a chance to take a ride while you are there, I highly suggest it.
The other way you can get around Walt Disney World is by a Minnie Van.
Disney's Minnie Van Service can be used within the Lyft mobile app, so be sure to have that downloaded on your smartphone before your trip. When you are ready to go anywhere on Walt Disney World property, just open the Lyft app. Next you'll want to select the Minnie Van. If the Minnie Van isn't the default vehicle displayed you'll just swipe through the options until you come to it. From there you will enter your destination, see which Minnie Van will pick you up and all pay conveniently within the app. It's great!
I hope this helps you get around Walt Disney World a little bit easier. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask. Have fun!
