Hi Tracy,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you are getting excited about your upcoming cruise with Captain Mickey! My family loves to track the number of days left until our Disney cruise with the countdown calendar on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Hope you are doing the same!
Disney Cruise Line offers
ground transportation to Port Canaveral from the Orlando International Airport and the Walt Disney World Resort, but not at this time from Orlando Sanford International Airport. Your best bet is either booking a private transfer, using Uber or Lyft, or renting a car. I once shocked my family with a limousine to the port, and they still talk about that ride to this day! Whatever method of transportation you choose, rest assured that once you arrive at the Cruise Terminal, everything else will be taken care of by Disney Cruise Line!
If you are arriving a day prior to your sailing, then you could always stay at one of the resorts at Walt Disney World and squeeze in some time at the parks or perhaps
Disney Springs. You would still have to find transportation from Sanford to your resort, but then the next morning, you could take ground transportation from your hotel to Port Canaveral. All you would have to do is inform Disney Cruise Line of your resort, and you would get paperwork in your room telling you what time your transfer to the port would be. Call me an enabler, but I'm always encouraging my friends to make their trips a
land-sea combo to sprinkle pixie dust on the entire vacation!
Wishing you a magical voyage! Cruise back by if you have any other questions!
Happy Sailing!
Sherry
