Welcome to planDisney, Gloriann!
The World's Most Magical Celebration is happening at Walt Disney World and guess what? You're invited! From the mesmerizing
Beacons of Magic to the
Fab 50 Character Collection, there's certainly something there that wasn't there before.
Gloriann, due to supply chain shortages around the country, it's quite challenging to get a hold of pixie dust. Otherwise, I'd recommend thinking of a happy thought, rising to the sky, and flying to Walt Disney World from the airport. But alas! You'll have to try a more "normal" method of transportation. Although Disney doesn't offer rides to and from the airport anymore, there are a number of different options for you to consider:
Shuttle Services
There are two different shuttle services to choose from. The first option is Mears Connect. I've used Mears Connect in the past and I'm planning on using them again this Spring. The second shuttle service option is Sunshine Flyer, which has a delightful theme (1920s passenger cars and train locomotives). Check both websites, compare prices, and decide which suits you most.
Rideshare
Many people choose to get to Walt Disney World Resort from the airport using a rideshare service, like Uber or Lyft. Simply download their respective apps and make a booking at a time that works best for you. The advantage of using Uber/Lyft over a shuttle service is that you can leave when you're ready and you don't have to wait for other Guests. You'll also be taken straight to your Disney Resort instead of possibly having to stop at multiple Disney Resorts along the way. The disadvantage of using a rideshare service is that you're more limited when it comes to the number of people you can fit into one vehicle. So it depends on the size of your party. Also, I don't know about you, but I think rideshare services have gotten so expensive these days. So I don't use them as much due to the price increase.
Rental Car
There are a number of rental car companies at Orlando International Airport. Many people choose this option so that they have more flexibility. And since Disney recently announced that overnight parking is free for Guests staying property, this is a more affordable option than in the past.
I hope that gives you some clarity, Gloriann. Have a wonderful visit!
