Hi there, Matt!
Thank you for stopping by planDisney. I am glad you sent your question to us. It sounds like you are planning a fun vacation aboard the Disney Cruise Line! So exciting! Disney Cruises are one of my family's favorite ways to spend time together...and apart, because my kids love the Youth Clubs.
Disney's Oceanneer Club welcomes potty-trained Guests between 3-10 years old to play and explore. My kids can happily spend many hours there!
Information on ground transportation from the Orlando International Airport to Port Canaveral can be found on the
Ground Transportation page. Ground transfers are currently available for purchase on embarkation and debarkation days for most cruises departing in 2024. Private transfers can be purchased for sailings in 2025. I suggest calling
Disney Cruise Line to discuss transportation options for your specific cruise.
I highly recommend flying into Orlando at least one day before your Disney Cruise embarks on its voyage. Flight or weather issues could cause issues arriving in Orlando on time. I like giving myself a little extra time to avoid delays impacting my cruise. My family recently stayed at a Walt Disney World Resort before our Disney Cruise and spent the night at the
Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport on debarkation day. This plan definitely alleviated stress caused by travel delays! Regardless of when you fly in, check the "Sailing from Port Canaveral to The Bahamas or the Caribbean" section on the Ground Transportation page for recommended arrival and departure times for your flights.
Matt, have a wonderful sailing on the Disney Cruise Line! If you love it as much as I do, make sure to book a Placeholder Cruise during your sailing. Guests who take advantage of the
Disney Cruise Line Onboard-Only Offer can access discounted rates on select future cruises!
Happy sailing!
Jen
