Hey there, Mike!
There are so many options for getting around Walt Disney World!
One of the big perks of
being on Walt Disney World property, whether you're staying at a
resort or not, is that you can get around without needing a car. The main options are
buses, monorails, boats, and the Disney Skyliner.Buses: These run from every Disney resort to the parks and
Disney Springs. They usually start about 45 minutes to an hour before park opening and run until about an hour after the park closes.
Monorail: The monorail connects
Magic Kingdom,
EPCOT, and the resorts along the monorail loop (Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian). Hours generally start about 30-45 minutes before park opening and run until about an hour after closing.
Boats (Friendship Boats & ferries): You’ll find boat transportation between EPCOT,
Hollywood Studios, and the BoardWalk area resorts, as well as boats from Magic Kingdom to resorts like the Wilderness Lodge, Grand Floridian, Polynesian, and Fort Wilderness. Boat hours vary a little but usually line up with park hours.
Disney Skyliner: This is the gondola system that connects EPCOT and Hollywood Studios with Pop Century, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, and Riviera resorts. The Skyliner hours generally start about 30–45 minutes before the parks open and end around an hour after closing.
Overall, transportation is included with your visit, so you don’t have to worry about extra costs. Just plan on giving yourself at least an hour of travel time, sometimes a little more during peak times.
Have a wonderful visit to Disney, Mike, and please stop by and visit with us again very soon.
Toodles,
Korliss
