What are my transportation options for all 4 parks for (and MCO airport) if I'm staying at a hotel in Flamingo Crossings if I have an infant, but not binging a car seat?

    Hello Cleshia,

Welcome to planDisney! The Walt Disney World Resort does provide bus, boat, Monorail, and Skyliner transportation for Guests while they are traveling between the theme parks, water parks, Disney Springs, and Disney Resort Collection Hotels.

Guests who choose to lodge at off-site hotels are responsible for their own transportation. You might start by contacting the off-site hotel you have chosen and inquire if they offer transportation to the parks or the airport. If they do not, you could rent a car, or use a taxi or ride-share service. In the state of Florida, parents are responsible for making sure children are in approved car seats when using a rental car, taxi, or ride-share, so you would need an infant seat if you wished to use one of those options. You can request a car seat with Uber and taxi service. Do know that not all cars have a car seat, so it can mean a longer wait for a ride. If you decide to rent a car, most car rental companies also rent car seats.

If you would like to consider staying at a Disney Resort Collection Hotel, you could use the Disney transportation system to get to the theme parks each day, and you would not need an infant seat, as they are not required on buses, water transportation, the Monorail, or Disney Skyliner. While Disney’s Magical Express transportation from the airport to Disney Resort Collection Hotels will no longer be offered for stays beginning January 1, 2022, the company that Disney has partnered with in the past, Mears, will offer a similar service for a fee, called Mears Connect. Since this service is a bus, you would also be able to use this option to get from Orlando International Airport to your Disney Resort Collection Hotel without an infant seat.

Staying at a Disney Resort Collection Hotel has so many benefits, Cleshia. Included transportation is a huge perk for my family. We have four kids and I don't want to have to haul car seats either. We also appreciate staying in the heart of the magic, not having to get into a hot car to drive ourselves, deal with traffic or get lost, or pay for theme park parking. Beginning this fall, Disney Resort Collection Hotel Guests will also get early entrance to the theme parks, so you get even more magic! In addition, they may make Advance Dining Reservations for the entire length of their stay, rather than one day at a time, meaning it is easier to snag the most popular dining locations!

Cleshia, if you’d like suggestions on which Disney Resort Collection Hotels to consider, dining locations to try, or fun things to do with little ones, please feel free to send us more questions. We love talking Disney and are here to help!
