Is there transportation available from Polynesian to Port Canaveral for cruise? We are staying a couple of nights at Polynesian prior to cruise and wondering best transportation options.

Aloha, Kim! I’m glad you sailed back by planDinsey with this question. How exciting that you’re planning a Land and Sea Adventure next February; it truly is the best way to experience all the Worlds of Disney wrapped into one unforgettable vacation.

A stay at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort sets the tone perfectly, with its island-inspired atmosphere and, of course, the convenience of the monorail whisking you straight to Magic Kingdom Park. Plus, starting your mornings with incredible dining options like the Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo & Stitch will have your whole Ohana ready for the voyage ahead.

The good news is that not only does Disney Cruise Line offer Ground Transportation between Disney Resort hotels and Port Canaveral for an additional fee, but I believe it’s the best way to make your transition from park to pier smooth and stress-free. On embarkation day, Disney will handle all the details, including picking up your luggage right from your resort so you can relax and enjoy every moment as you trade your lei for a lanyard and head toward your ocean adventure. I recommend calling a helpful Disney Cruise Line representative so they can help you add shuttle service to your reservation.

Since you’ll be carrying that aloha spirit from the Polynesian to your Disney Cruise, consider packing matching Hawaiian shirts for those photos the professional photographers will snap before you step onboard. Not only will it make for adorable family pictures, but it’s also a fun way to set the tone for your seafaring adventure. And to make sure you don’t miss any other theme nights on your itinerary, don’t forget to refer to the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app daily. It’s also the place to check for everything from entertainment schedules to Character Greeting times.

No matter which ship you’ll be sailing on, Kim, I can’t wait to see “How Far You’ll Go” on the Big Blue with your crew. Mahalo for bringing me along in your planning. I hope your adventure is as magical as a day spent in Motunui, and if any other questions float up, don’t hesitate to pay us another visit here at planDisney!

    Bon voyage,
    Sami
