Hi Lawrence,
Welcome to planDisney! Planning a Walt Disney World vacation is like putting together a giant puzzle to make the pieces fit –– where to eat, what to ride, (and if you're anything like my family) which matching shirts to wear. But there's one really important piece of the puzzle your vacation can't start without –– how to get from the airport to your Resort.
January 1, 2022, marked the retirement of Disney's Magical Express Service between Orlando International Airport and the
Walt Disney World Resort. Although many of us are sad to see it go, there are still plenty of great options for getting to and the airport during your stay. If you're looking for an experience similar to Disney's Magical Express, you may want to check out the new Mears Connect service, which can be booked directly from the Mears website. You can also use a rideshare service, taxi, or book a rental car for use during your stay.
If you choose to rent a car,
standard overnight self-parking is complimentary for Disney Vacation Club Members at Disney Vacation Club Resorts, such as
Disney's Old Key West Resort, regardless of whether Vacation Points or another form of payment is used to book the Resort stay. Complimentary standard parking at Walt Disney World theme parks is also included for Guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel or campground, which includes all Disney Vacation Club properties.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question, Lawrence. I hope you have a magical time during your upcoming stay at Disney's Old Key West Resort!
Happy New Year!
Amy
