Hello there Karen, welcome to planDisney! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. Seeing as your vacation to
Walt Disney World Resort is just around the riverbend, let's jump to it!
I always love landing at the Orlando International Airport and knowing the magic is not too far away. There are a few different options for traveling to the relaxing
Disney's Old Key West Resort that's just a boat ride away from
Disney Springs.
If you're looking for a more economical way to travel, you can book a shuttle service such as Mears Connect, Driven by Sunshine. These buses depart from Terminal B, level 1 (ground transportation level - follow signs for "MEARS Shuttles") as well as Terminal C (level 1, ground transportation - look for the desk on the right). You can book this form of transportation online through Mears.
A ride-share service such as Uber or Lyft is another popular choice for Guests heading to Walt Disney World Resort hotels. These can be booked through an app downloaded on your phone. This may be a quicker way to arrive at your Resort since you aren't waiting for other passengers and you'd head straight to your Resort instead of having to stop at multiple Resorts along the way. You can find the pick-up areas at Terminal A & B (Level 2) and on Level 3 and Terminal C (Level 6).
The other option would be to rent a vehicle through one of the many car rental agencies located at the Orlando International Airport. Since you are a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel Guest,
parking would be complimentary both at the Resort and the
Theme Parks and you could skip taking
Disney's transportation.
Karen, I hope this was helpful and that just like Cinderella's shoe, you find the mode of transportation that fits! Please don't hesitate to visit
planDisney again if you have any further DVC or vacation planning questions.
See ya real soon,
Candace
