Transportation from AK to Sanaa Restaurant and back to AK? How long is the trip to Sanaa from AK?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Cheri.

It sounds like you have a super fun day planned on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. I love visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and I love dining at Sanaa so it is a match made in heaven.

I think you'll be happy to know that Sanaa is located at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and isn't too far from where you'll be at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. When you are ready to head to your reservation, you'll exit the theme park and head to the bus stop area. Right before you get to the bus depot there will be a board showing all of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and a number correlating which bus stop those buses will stop at. You'll find the number associated with Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and head that way. Buses run frequently throughout the day so I don't anticipate your wait to be very long and then the bus ride itself is around 5 minutes. It is very close. Sanaa is located in the Kidani Village portion of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge which is usually the second stop but you'll just want to listen for what the bus driver calls out. The two stops are Jambo House and Kidani. When your meal is over, you'll want to head outside to the same area where you were dropped off. You'll watch for the bus marked for Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and hop on. You'll be there in no time!

While you are dining at Sanaa, I highly recommend trying the Indian-Style Bread Service that's found on the appetizer menu. It's delicious! This appetizer comes with your choice of bread for dipping - options are traditional naan, garlic-ginger naan, spiced naan, onion kulcha or paneer paratha. Then you'll get to enjoy all of the accompaniments to dip in like cucumber raita, roasted red pepper hummus, mango chutney, tomato-date jam, tamarind chutney, coriander chutney, garlic pickle, red chile sambal and spicy-lime pickle. The flavors are all so interesting. There really isn't anything else like this at Walt Disney World which is why it always makes my must-try list when dining at Sanaa.

I hope you find this helpful when planning out your day. If you have any other questions about this or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
