I have transferred points into my RCI account. How do I access this account and how long are those points good for?

    Hi John,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Exploring the World Collection through Disney Vacation Club sounds wonderful. The World Collection is where you will find the RCI destinations located. There are so many destinations available around the world!

In order to access the RCI locations and availability through Disney Vacation Club, head to the Disney Vacation Club website. Under the tab for "Plan Vacations," scroll down to "Book Online: RCI." This page includes lots of information about RCI through Disney Vacation Club, as well as a tab for booking through RCI. You will need to log in at this point, and then you will be redirected to the RCI site for Disney Vacation Club, where you can browse and even book destinations. You can also of course call Disney Vacation Club Member Services at 1-800-800-9800 for help with booking your RCI vacations. As an extra bonus, for the year 2017, Disney Vacation Club is waiving the $95 booking fee! There will be no fee when you book your RCI vacation as long as you make the actual booking in 2017 - your travel can be at a later date.

As to how long the Vacation Points will last in an RCI account through Disney Vacation Club, they should last at least two calendar years. My understanding is that any Vacation Points moved to an RCI account in 2017 will be available through December of 2019. This means that if you move points now, you have almost three years that they will last. If you move Vacation Points closer to the end of the year, say October of 2017, then you would have closer to two years to use them.

I highly suggest that you call Disney Vacation Club Member Services so that they can look into the specifics of your RCI account with you. I find the cast members there to be extremely helpful.

I hope that this is helpful for you, John. Please do write back with any further questions!
