Can I transfer a ticket to someone in my friends and family that has a separate my Disney Experience account and is not traveling at the same time as I am ?

Hi Wendy, thanks for bringing another question to planDisney!

It is kind of you to transfer your unused ticket to your friend! It’s too bad you’re not visiting Walt Disney World at the same time! I frequently take Disney vacations during runDisney weekends, so it always seems like I am just missing a friend who was visiting a week or two before!

You can transfer a ticket to someone in your Family & Friends List as long as the ticket has not been used. Once the tickets have been used, they cannot be reassigned.  You can transfer the ticket in the My Disney Experience app by clicking the three horizontal bars in the bottom right corner and selecting the tile labeled “My Tickets & Passes.” Scroll to find the ticket you’d like to reassign and click “Reassign Ticket” and choose the friend who will use the ticket.

If you have a future visit planned, you can also change the date of your ticket to use at a later time. If the new dates are more expensive, you will need to pay the difference in price for the new dates, and you will not receive a refund if the new price is lower.

If you have any issues completing this process, I recommend calling the number listed under “Tickets and Hotel Reservations” for assistance from a Cast Member. They can help with transferring the ticket or changing the dates.

I hope this helps, Wendy! If you have any more questions, please come back and see us again soon at planDisney!
