Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Hi there, Michelle! So happy to see you here at planDisney. You are just one month away from the magic at the Happiest Place on Earth - let the pixie-dusted countdown begin!

I have some good news for you. While you are asked to include a name for each theme park ticket during the check-out process, this is just to make the tickets easily identifiable within your Disneyland Mobile App when you scan them at the Main Gate. Theme park tickets are not technically assigned until you pass through those gates for the first time. At that point, a Cast Member will take a photo of the Guest which will pop up every time the ticket is used. As long as you transfer the ticket before its first use, you should be good to go!

You can either print out the barcode for the ticket and QR code for the theme park reservation and hand over these hard copies to your friend to take with them to the gate, or they can simply link the ticket within their own account in the Disneyland Mobile App. To do this, have them open the app and navigate to the three-bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner and select "Tickets and Passes". From here, tap the "+" in the top right-hand corner and choose "Link Tickets & Passes". They can either scan the barcode directly from your app or the hard copy or manually type in the ticket number. If you have already made a theme park reservation for this ticket, I would just have them double-check that they have access to this as well from their own app by navigating to "Future Plans". Here, they should see any theme park reservations made for their account.

I know that's a lot of logistics to take in! If you have any more questions, feel free to reach back out to me directly. Whether you or your friend are able to make the trip next month, I sure hope some time at Disney California Adventure Park is on the itinerary! You will be visiting during the last few days of the Food & Wine Festival. Trust me, you will want to come hungry! I got a chance to sample a few offerings a few weeks ago and delicious might be the understatement of the year! My tip would be to grab a Sip and Savor pass that will give you 8 tabs to use across 12 Festival Marketplaces so you can eat and drink your way through the park! My panelist friends Carrie and Adrianna shared a tip that while there is a booth designated for Sip and Savor pass sales, you will get a Festival Guide when you enter the park which includes a list of retail locations also selling the passes. These often have shorter wait times so there is more time for eating!

Michelle, I hope this was helpful in your planning! We hope to see ya real soon!
