How to transfer a ticket to another person

Hi there, Patricia! Thanks for visiting planDisney. I'm so glad you've stopped by.

Based on your question, there are a couple of possible answers. I'm going to cover each scenario, just in case! Standard theme park admission tickets can be transferred before first use for theme park entry. If, however, a multi-day ticket has been used for admission even once, then it is already assigned and cannot be used by another Guest. Tickets are officially assigned the first time they are used, and a Cast Member has taken a photo of the Guest. After that point, tickets may not be reassigned.

Patricia, if you purchased tickets for your group and someone wants access to their ticket to scan into the park, here are the steps you'll need to take. Both you and the other Guest should log into your Disney accounts in the Disneyland Mobile App. From the homescreen, tap the three-line icon in the bottom right-hand corner and select "My Tickets & Passes." You will stay here and scroll to the ticket you want to transfer. The other Guest will click the blue plus (+) sign in the top right-hand corner and select "Link Tickets& Passes." Here, they can select "Type ID" and manually enter the ticket confirmation number found under the barcode on your app, or they can scan the barcode in your app by selecting "Camera." Once complete, you both should see the ticket in your accounts.

During the ticket purchase process, you likely assigned a name to each ticket. This step allows Guests to tell the difference between tickets in their account. As I mentioned above, tickets are officially assigned to a Guest when they are used for park entry. If, however, you would like to change the name assigned before your trip, you can call the Tickets phone line at (714) 781-4636, and a Cast Member might be able to help you with that change.

Patricia, I hope this answers your question. Please let me know if you have any other planning questions. I would love to help!

    Happy holidays,
    Melissa
