Hi Joanne,
How exciting that you’re at the
Walt Disney World Resort right now! I hope your vacation is off to a magical start. I’m also a
Disney Visa Credit Card by Chase owner, and I’m happy to help you manage your
Disney Reward Dollars on this trip. I also have two
Reward Redemption cards, so I understand the confusion with managing the balances. Let’s get this straightened out together!
Disney Reward Dollars are earned as a percentage of your spending when using your Disney Visa Credit Card. You then transfer those rewards to a Redemption Card, which is a physical card that can be used to pay for eligible transactions online, in the
My Disney Experience App, or in person around the Walt Disney World Resort. This card acts like a Disney Gift Card but is funded with money earned from your previous spending – nice!
When you log onto the secure Chase website, you will see a dashboard with an overview of your accounts. On the top right is a Disney Reward Dollars tile. Selecting that tile takes you to a page where you can manage these cards. You must select the amount of Reward Dollars you earned to move to a card, and if you have two cards I suggest you select one as the primary and only move funds to that card in the future to avoid confusion.
You can call the phone number on the back of your credit card to speak with a representative at Chase who may be able to merge the two cards for you. If not, you may use one until all funds have been spent, and then only use the primary card moving forward. I don’t have a physical card for one of my Reward Redemption Cards as it was lost in the mail, but on the Chase website I can see the full account number and security code – all the information I need to complete a transaction online or in the My Disney Experience App.
I hope this helps you spend those well-earned Disney Reward Dollars, Joanne! Please be sure to check the
list of locations where you can redeem these dollars and also where to
receive a discount just for being a Disney Visa cardholder for additional savings throughout your vacation. Don’t miss the
exclusive Chase Character experience at EPCOT or the Star Wars Magic Shot opportunity in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. All of your purchases at the Walt Disney World Resort charged to your Disney Visa will then be interest-free for six months and continue to earn you even MORE Disney Reward Dollars for next time!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy
