Heigh ho, Angela! It's off to Walt Disney World you go! How exciting that it's almost time for your magical vacation to begin. Thanks for sending your planning question to us.
I felt like last spring was conjured up by the Evil Queen herself. My family had several trips that had to be postponed due to travel restrictions and park closures. Thankfully, Disney made it so
easy for us to return "home" again once we were ready. The
MagicBands you received last spring are valid and as long as they are still "Active" on
My Disney Experience, they will work for future trips. We had to miss out on a stay at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge last spring but were able to use our MagicBands from that vacation for a winter getaway just this month to
Disney's Riviera Resort.
To ensure they are ready to go, select My MagicBands & Cards from the My Disney Experience dropdown menu. Next to each member of your party, you should see a MagicBand its current status in a light gray font. As long as the status says "Active," your MagicBand will work to redeem linked theme park admission, unlock your resort room door, charge purchases, and link
Disney PhotoPass images. If your MagicBand has been deactivated, simply click on "Activate" and you'll be on your way.
I hope this helps as you savor the final countdown to vacation fun. Be sure to keep up with the latest happenings on the
Disney Parks Blog, follow us at
planDisney on social media, and take a look at some recent posts in the
Panel Extras section so you don't miss a thing before your arrival. If there is anything else we can do before you set off on your adventure, come see us again.
