Hi Dulcelita!
Thanks for continuing to use planDisney for your Disney vacation planning! Happy to have you onboard with us again and to hEAR you have a Disney cruise on the horizon.
Taking
Disney Cruise Line ground transportation to the port from a Disney Resorts Collection hotel is always an added way to sprinkle pixie dust on your vacation. The advantages to ground transportation are not having to worry about getting from Point A to Point B and the peace of mind knowing that Captain Mickey has everything under control.
Ground transfers can be added by
contacting Disney Cruise Line or your travel agent at least three days prior to your voyage. Or online, use the “My Reservations” tab on the Disney Cruise Line website, then select “ground transportation” and put which Disney Resorts Collection hotel you will be staying at before you set sail. Disney Cruise Line will handle the rest! Current pricing is $ 39 per Guest for one-way transfers from your Disney hotel to Port Canaveral, and that pricing is always subject to change.
You will find out your pick-up time the night before your cruise departure; routes and times can vary from sailing to sailing. Typically, these transfers are scheduled from mid-morning to early afternoon. As a
Disney Resorts Collection Guest, you’ll receive a letter the night before with everything you need to know. Your luggage usually has to be ready around 8:00 A.M., but then you’ll have time to grab breakfast and maybe explore your resort hotel before boarding a Disney Cruise Line motorcoach.
Once you arrive at the port, you'll check-in and receive a boarding group number. In my experience, everything moves very quickly. Before we know it, we are walking onboard and deciding where we want to go first on the ship!
Dulcelita, you can cruise back by planDisney again and again! We are always happy to say, “Welcome Aboard” and to help you plan that magical Disney cruise!
Happy Sailing!
Sherry
