How do I transfer my family’s tickets so they have them in their my Disney experience app?

    Welcome to planDisney, Marie!

I understand you'd like to transfer some of the Walt Disney World Resort tickets housed in your My Disney Experience account to your family members. Before we dive into the tech talk, let's take a moment to enjoy the fact that your Walt Disney World Resort countdown is in the double digits. <<Squeal!!>> It won't be long before you can make Disney dining reservations. Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel can make advance dining reservations for their entire length of stay (up to 10 days) 60 days before check-in; all other Guests can book for each day 60 days in advance. Reservations open online at approximately 5:45 a.m. EST or 10:45 a.m. GMT.

Now let's dig a little deeper into the magical task at hand. Take a look at the tickets you'd like to transfer in your My Disney Experience account. If the tickets are currently assigned to you, Marie, jump to Solution A. If they are assigned to My Disney Experience account profiles with your family members' names, jump to Solution B.

    Solution A
    1. Click "Reassign Ticket."
2a. If you and your family members are already connected as Family and Friends in My Disney Experience, select a family member's name from the dropdown list.
2b. If you and your family members are not yet connected as Family and Friends, select "Add a Guest" and "I'll enter their name and age." Once the age is selected, click "Invite this Guest to connect," enter the email address associated with their My Disney Experience account, and click "Done." As soon as your family member accepts the email invitation to connect, the ticket will automagically transfer to their account. You will also be connected as Family and Friends, which means you can view and make plans for each other.
    3. Repeat steps 1-2 for other family members.

    Solution B
    1. Click "Update" next to a family member's name as it appears on your Family and Friends List
    2. Click "Share planning with [family member's name.]"
    3. Enter the email address associated with that person's My Disney Experience account and click "Continue." Once your family member accepts the invitation to connect, their ticket and any other reservations will automagically transfer to their account. You will remain connected as Family and Friends.
    4. Repeat steps 1-3 for other family members.

With slight variation, these steps also work in the My Disney Experience mobile app. In the app, your Family and Friends List can be found by tapping the three small lines at the bottom right of the home page, scrolling down to "My Profile," and clicking the "Family and Friends List" tab.

I hope you and your cast of characters have a magical vacation, Marie. Please return to planDisney with any other trip-planning questions.

    Choose magic,
