Welcome to planDisney, Lois. Thank you for sharing your question with us. Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear that you weren't able to visit as you originally planned, however, am happy to help get you on your way to your rescheduled visit.
You have the flexibility to apply the value of your wholly unused ticket (
except for special event tickets) towards the purchase of a new theme park ticket as long as the price of the new ticket is equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original ticket. Before starting this process, I strongly recommend checking the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to ensure your new date is available. If you have a 1-day ticket, you can
check the current prices for a 1-day theme park ticket as you decide when you'd like to visit.
I chatted with a Cast Member who shared that they could assist with this over the
phone by calling for help with Tickets. This is subject to change and you may need to visit one of the ticket booths in-person at the main entrance of the Disneyland Resort to complete your transaction. However, I say it never hurts to make a call if you can save some time and a drive.
Lois, I hope this has been helpful and you're able to find a date soon that will work for you to visit the Happiest Place on Earth. There are a lot of wonderful things happening right now, particularly the
Disney100 Celebration. During my last visit, I really enjoyed the
platinum and purple decorations around the resort and the
festive food offerings. If you get a chance, I recommend the Lemon Chiffon Pie from the Hungry Bear Restaurant.
If you find yourself with any other questions please come back and share with us at planDisney. Until then, I wish you a most magical visit.
