Can you transfer the balance of your gift cards to your magic band?

    Hi Cindie,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. MagicBands are one of my favorite ways to simplify a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It is so nice to have access to your theme park tickets, FastPass+ reservations, and Memory Maker account with a touch of your wrist! Guests who are staying at a Disney Resort hotel can also use their MagicBand to access their Disney Resort hotel room. Guests can make purchases using their MagicBand if they are staying in a Disney Resort hotel and those purchases will be charged to their room account. You can then use Disney Gift Cards to pay your room account, but you can't directly load a gift card balance onto your MagicBand.

I have used my Disney Gift Cards to pay towards my hotel room account charges many times and it works out very well. I do recommend that you pay your balance the day before you checkout because any remaining balance on your account will be applied to your credit card overnight on the final night of your reservation. Simply stop at your Disney Resort hotel front desk and they will be able to apply your Disney Gift Card toward your room account balance.

Please let us know if you have any other questions! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
